The Centre for Kinesiology, Health and Sport is a state of
the art sports facility located at the University of Regina. It
includes three full-sized basketball/volleyball courts, collapsible
seating for 2200 spectators, an elevated running
track, sports medicine facilities and underground parking for
200 vehicles. The roof structure features a long steel system
that spans 48 meters over the width of the gymnasium.
The building also showcases a unique canopy structure
with long cantilevers and tall concrete columns. This project
received the Construction Owners of America Award for
project design and delivery. |
